Shut up British Gas, you’re talking absolute arse!

I’m going to hunt down the people responsible for programming at E4, Channel 4 and Paramount Comedy. Why ? Chuffing “Sex and the City” – that’s why. My darling Emily has the Sky remote again and so far we’ve had an hour of this..AGH! I’ve seen this episode about 20 times now… E4, then E4+1, then Paramount… will the madness… Read more →

Hold tight!

Every now and then I take a look at the “amount of people online” box on the left-side of CoolSmartPhone.com. On a good day this site will have about 600 people online. Y’know, around lunch time or early-evening. However, what I wasn’t prepared – especially at 11PM BST – was this…. I’m not quite sure where all the traffic is… Read more →

Google Earth.. pretty damned good…

Today I’ve had a quick play with Google Earth today. It’s pretty cool, although it’s a shame that pretty much everywhere outside the US doesn’t have magificently-hi-res pictures. The interface itself is excellent, you can grab the globe, spin it round, zoom in quickly and easily and find roads and pubs within seconds. Plus of course, it’s free. Very nice.… Read more →

Speed cameras cause more accidents – claim

Check this out, according to research done by University College London, speed cameras (you know we all love them) actually cause more accidents. Why ? Well, people are generally more pre-occupied watching that the needle doesn’t go above 30mph to notice dear old Mrs Grimes crossing the road with her shopping. Areas which have the most speed cameras show an… Read more →

Cars, Driving and more besides

Here’s a car we saw whilst out walking the dog on Sunday (click here for the bigger version). It was parked next to Ems car and as you can see it was totally covered in brambles. I posted this on a certain forum and got the expected responses.. – I bought one of those…it wooden go! – I’m tempted to… Read more →

How old are you?! :)

This particular email has been shooting around the internet for a good many years. I saw it originally when I was working for Research Machines in Oxford a good many years ago. It’s still doing the rounds and is worth putting in my blog – mainly because this weekend I’ve seen kids riding electric-powered scooters whilst talking on mobile phones,… Read more →

Dog walking and weekend fun

I write this at about twenty past midnight on Sunday night / Monday morning. Ideally I should be asleep, as work beckons in a few short hours. However, I’m gonna get a tad soppy and reflective on you all first. This week we’ve been tasked with the responsibility of dog-sitting my sister-in-laws pooch. She’s a friendly enough mutt, but does… Read more →

C550 – I’ve taken the plunge!

To be honest I’m quite happy with my SPV C500, however I’ve taken the plunge and ordered a spanky gorgeous Orange SPV C550. I’ll do a review of it this week sometime and get it online for you guys. I’m particularly interested in how it handles games and compatibility. I’ve purchased mine from the shop below. Have a look at… Read more →

World Stop.. Off To Get …Want I…

Right, that’s it. Everyone is stark raving crazy. You’re all mental. See yaa!! I’m off now… All done…. Reason ? Just click here and all will be explained. Yes, after the annoying “success” of the Crazy Frog ringtone (taking money from children in order to fill the pockets of Verisign and making several million quid in the process), and the… Read more →

FHM.com MMS Gallery

I see that FHM have started an “MMS Gallery” here. Being FHM, people have sent in funny pictures (you send a picture message to a special FHM mobile, then it goes on the web), plus.. of course.. pictures of their girlfriends / wives in various states of undress. There’s plenty of “Not Safe For Work” pictures on there too. Hmmm..… Read more →

Thanks TomTom! Doah!

I had a rather interesting journey to work this morning. After hitting traffic I decided to ask TomTom to “find alternative”, which it did. However, after going past all the traffic with a rather smug grin I found TomTom directing me up a road which was rapidly narrowing from two lanes, to one, then into a dirt-track going underneath the… Read more →

More on what happened in London

I see that there’s been a pretty major security alert in Birmingham, which is pretty much on my doorstep (about 20 minutes away). It seems that there were several suspect packages and a warning before-hand. The packages were blown up in controlled explosions but they were found to be harmless – however one was a box with wires and a… Read more →

mobilegadgetnews.com is coming back

US Smartphone site Mobile Gadget News has suffered a bit of late and has been knocked off line for quite a considerable length of time. However, it’s now almost back to full force. The forum is restored and they’re online again. There’s just some portal and blogs stuff to do. Running a website – a biggy – can be a… Read more →

Another Friday E-Mail

After this roller-coaster of a week it’s great to see the weekend in sight. To ease you into the weekend I’ve got my usual “robbed from B3ta.com” links.. ———— At school the rumour always went that if you put mains voltage across a sausage, the current passing through would cause it to cook. Twelve years later we tried it in… Read more →

London Blasts

I feel I have to do a quick post about the explosions in London. There’s obviously lots of news coming out right now about who is responsible etc – it would appear to be a co-ordinated attack by terrorists, similar to that of September 11th. Unbelievably it appears that Paul – one of my mates was pictured coming away from… Read more →

Nice one London!

So yay. London will be hosting to 2012 Olympic Games. There’s a few things to watch out for though, because todays events leave you with mixed emotions. What started as a peaceful protest by Live 8 has been royally f**ked up by a hardcore of nutters. The picture on the right is from Sky News. This guy is smashing up… Read more →
