Seattle USA

What is it about this city ? After 9 and a bit hours on a BA flight with probably the nicest and most pleasant stewardesses you could find anywhere, you land in Seattle and find a city full of even more friendly, nice people. Everyone you meet smiles and says hi. Everyone talks to the person they meet in the… Read more →

I can’t add up..

This Gold Digger track by Kanye West is stuck in my head now. I’ve no idea why because I can’t really fathom out most of the words. Last night I figured I’d find out what he was singing and did a Google search. Apparently it’s something like.. “Cutie the bomb Met her at a beauty salon With a baby louis… Read more →

Late for work again!

Friday once more and yet again I’m late for work. The main reason this morning is that everyone was doing a painfully slow 60mph on the M6. Why? Why? Well, because of these guys here. This vehicle is actually a Highways Agency Land Rover, however 95% of drivers think they’re Police vehicles. The main reason for them is that the… Read more →

I’m sure I’ve heard this one before?

I was listening to Mr Chris Moyles this morning whilst having a shower. He played the new tune by Rachel Stevens (the lovely lady here on the right) and then went on to say that she should “give up” and that it’s “all over”. To be honest I agree, and I wish that Lisa Scott-Lee would sod off too… come… Read more →

More strange happenings across the road…

A quick update regarding the strange goings-on across the road. Well on Saturday the camera crew, complete with full “proper size” camera and a tripod, came back…and stayed. They must’ve left fairly late but they were back again Sunday morning… Well, I say “morning”, what I actually mean is …. Sunday afternoon. More tripod-action ensued and a make-up lady popped… Read more →

What goes on behind closed doors?!

I’m not usually that nosey. Emily can be at times, but she calls it, “being interested in what other people are doing”. However, we haven’t been able to ignore the constant activity at the house across the road every weekend. Usually, on a Friday or Saturday evening a car will pull up and then disappear early the next morning. Trouble… Read more →

Old mobile phones

Last night I went to visit my parents. We stopped for dinner and then I ended up rummaging in the garage (of all places). Hanging up on a wall was a carrier bag full of mobile phones. My dad likes the older phones and says that they’re “proper man phones”, and not like the “puffy little dinky efforts” produced today.… Read more →

Pissed-up purchases

Right that’s it. Another blog post coming your way. Not least because there’s not much news around today, but also because I’ve bought a book. Yes. A book. I’ve not read many books in my life time, mainly because there’s already mountains of text available on this monitor doobery. However, following a drunken night sat at home I did something… Read more →

An inventive way of cleaning up dog poo

I’ll try and steer away from the rant I was going to post here. I was going to mention my trip to Morrisons to get a sandwich this lunch time. I was going to mention how I struggled to get through the queue of nutters waiting to put a fivers’ worth of fuel in. I was going to tell you… Read more →

Petrol Panic ?!

Oh dear, here we go again. I was 20 minutes late for work this morning because – after the fuel light came on half-way up the M6 – I decided to get some Petrol. It would appear that the same old panic-buying is returning. A queue of cars fed into the local Morissons car-park where people waited to pay 1… Read more →

What Football? I was watching Back to the Future!

What a rubbish day I’m having so far. The bank have “lost” 1500 quid which was supposed to go onto the credit card. They tell me to call the credit card company as, “you paid it out over a week ago”, so they should have some record of receiving it. The credit card company say they don’t know anything about… Read more →

No! Don’t make it any worse!!!

Oh dear. Could the New Orleans problems get any worse? After the natural disaster came a slow response and now news that there was a five hour delay before anyone at all was sent in. Michael Brown, head honcho at “FEMA” (Federal Emergency Management Agency) suggested sending 1,000 staff within 2 hours and another couple of thousand within a week… Read more →

Ikea .. again.. yes, again…

Coffee! Aggh!!! Gimme coffee. How can it be that it’s Wednesday already. It’s all a blur. Last night I spent several hours putting some Ikea furniture together. Wait – no, actually I should say..we spent several hours putting it together. Actually it was surprisingly easy. Gone are the days of MFI cupboards with wood-glue and flimsy fittings. These Ikea drawer… Read more →

Humph….

As much as I don’t want to really post this, I feel I have to straighten a few things out. Firstly, I noticed that today MSMobiles.com have finally posted an article about the o2 XDA Exec. It is also stated within this story that it’s “first official information directly from o2 UK”, followed by a scan similar to the one… Read more →

Where’s the help?

I rarely speak here on political issues. Coming from the UK, we have a government that – at times – make very strange decisions. However, after finally managing to sit down and watch several news reports on ITN, BBC, CNN and Sky News I’m astonished at what’s unfolding in America right now. Hurricane Katrina has undoubtably caused immense devistation. However,… Read more →
