Another reason why XP is still selling well

Yes, yes, yes. I know you can turn the “User Account Control” in Vista but, for those of us that are aware what we’re clicking on, it’s just another thing to disable, edit or tweak after an install of the spanky new Operating System. Annoying it definitely is, and guess who’s all ready to jump on this from a great… Read more →

Parking fine – part 2!

Remember that blog post from yesterday? Well, it turns out that someone else took a photo of the police car in question. The shot made the local newspaper, the Burton Mail. As usual with local rags the article is bit biased and takes the side of the parking attendant (eh?!)… Thanks Ant! Read more →

No post today, the posties’ gone away

I’m not exactly up to speed with this whole postal strike situation. My post has only just started arriving before noon, so I’m not quite sure what’s happening now. It was a 14Kg lump of concrete and it fell “somewhere near Nothumberland”. A spokesman for the RAF said… “Even if the practice bomb survived the fall, we… Read more →

Why I’m not a football fan – Reason number 32

Here’s another reason why I’m perhaps not the biggest fan of the beautiful game. It’s up to you – was this goalkeeper play-acting when a fan “attacked” him last night? Or was it a serious injury ? You decide, check the video over at Sky News and watch the slow-mo replay. It reminds me of two 5-year-olds having an argument… Read more →

Sunday at 8PM – Make a date!

It’s gonna be a busy night on Sunday as power stations all over the UK crank up to full power for the start of another Top Gear series. Get your generic hard disk recording device set now, because 8PM Sunday (and the repeat on Wednesdays at 7PM if you miss it) marks the beginning of possibly the best TV series… Read more →
