Who do I vote for? I’ve no idea!

There’s an election coming up and, on Thursday, we’ll head to the polls to vote. However, I have a problem. I don’t know who to vote for. It’s not because I’m a floating voter, it’s because I’ve not had much information. Just days away from the election I’ve had two leaflets for local candidates. One was for the UK Independence… Read more →

A fun way to solve the national debt

So, last night I had an idea. It’s not often that happens, so I held onto it and wrote it down. The leadership debate was on again. No laser shows this time (the Sky News one had a really cool laser show) but they all had a good ‘ole argument and Gordon Brown admitted that he’d been stupid. Anyhow. If… Read more →

Mercedes Driver

Hmm.. How the heck did this Mercedes driver do this ? Well, I can’t really understand how, “Authorities in Tulsa, Oklahoma have been left baffled”. It’s pretty ruddy obvious. They’ve reversed too fast or been shunted somehow. It’s not like they’ve done some sort of James Bond-style leap from another building is it ? :) Link –BBC News Edit –… Read more →

Gordon Brown – Utterly massive FAIL

..and the “Fail Award of 2010” goes to.. Mr Gordon Brown… A big round of applause please.. Oh dear.. Watch Gordon squirm.. Poor chap. Still, at least he’s got a couple of homes that the tax payer funded somewhere.. Doah ! DOAH ! D O A H !!! D O A H !!! Link – BBC News (With captions) Source… Read more →

Ashes to Ashes. Loving this.

This is perhaps one of the best shows on TV at the moment. It should be made into a film or something. Putting an Audi Quattro with Gene Hunt in a movie, them properly chucking it around corners and shooting bad guys. This is how all police should operate. In fact – don’t vote for anyone in the election unless… Read more →

Some of my photos

I’d like to take a moment just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I became a Prince of a town called Bel-Air to pimp my flickr.com gallery. It’s full of pictures uploaded direct from my phone(s). Here’s a few from this weekend. They’re sometimes funny, sometimes interesting. Firstly, this weekend we were in Trentham Gardens and I rather liked… Read more →

It’s Friday, so..

Robbed from the b3ta.com newsletter.. What would happen if those platform games were real.. Old paintings come to life.. Those fake accidents we see in crappy TV ads, all in one funky video.. Read more →

Yes, I’m going to pimp that site again..

I’m a huge fan of The Daily Mash and today there’s another two stories that I’m going to unashamedly pimp. The first relates to Ryanair – the airline everyone loves to hate. They weren’t going to pay out for hotel costs for European passengers affected by the volcano dust, but now – after realising it’s actually illegal not to –… Read more →

Jordan. Go away now please.

Why is this ruddy woman in the news. Unless there’s a story about Jordan exploding then I don’t want to know. Apparently she got sick of waiting for a flight back from Egypt and instead chartered a private jet. To make the money up she offered to fly anyone else home too, at a price. Oh balls I’ve just talked… Read more →

Planes can fly through volcanic ash, after all?

I’m a little lost by this whole volcanic ash cloud thing. I’ve only caught bits of information but, from what I understand, some big-ass volcano has kicked off in Iceland and splatted loads of dust into the upper atmosphere which could get stuck in plane engines. This is obviously a bad thing, so the skies above the UK and beyond… Read more →

Big Brother is coming to our roads

Speed cameras do have their place. A lot fail though, with many of the fixed cameras by my house being raced through by boy-racers who are well aware which ones have cameras in. Average speed cameras are in place on motorways now, but it’s mostly confined to the M25 and within road works. This works. Today news appeared about a… Read more →

Go away TalkTalk

Dear TalkTalk. Please go away. Stop sending flyers through my door. Stop sending letters through the post. Stop sending salesman to our door at 7PM to try and sell your broadband. I don’t want it. I’m already a customer of yours for our telephone service. Yes, I know it’s cheap and I get what I pay for. Your customer service… Read more →

How the all-new iPhone got outed

So, you’re an Apple software engineer on a night out. You have the next iPhone in your pocket. No-one has seen it before so Apple have cleverly disguised it as an iPhone 3GS. You go to a bar. You get too drunk. You lose the phone.. http://gizmodo.com/5520438/how-apple-lost-the-next-iphone Weeks later, the phone turns up on gizmodo and it’s pictured .. lots..… Read more →

Cheap satellite TV – Self install

About four years ago I decided to install my own Sky+. Back then the cost of Sky+ installation was quite high, so I went up the ladder and added a new LNB and ran the extra cable needed myself. Last week my mom moved into her new home. The previous owners had cable TV but my mom didn’t want to… Read more →

Those YouTube comments..

For people, like me, who upload videos to places like YouTube this will no doubt make you smile. It contains a whole dollop of swearing, and I mean SWEARING – big, fat swear words that will easily get you thrown out of work, school or college. You have been warned. OK? Good.. Read more →

APR only 2689% ?

Saw this on TV last night. You can lend £70 for a week (ideal for funding drug habits) ;). I know it’s only for short-term loans but just check that APR ! There’s other companies doing similar “pay day” loans, including txtloan.co.uk – they will send money into your account after you’ve simply sent a text! The APR is better… Read more →

Be wary of banking emails

Another day, another phishing email. These are getting more and more sophisticated, using images from the official websites (why banking websites don’t stop remote linking I’m not sure) and worst of all – they’re not being stopped. I had this one last night but now, a full 20 hours later, both Internet Explorer and Firefox are allowing it to display.… Read more →

Michelle Heaton falls over

Don’t ask me why, but Michelle Heaton gets on my nerves. She seems to pop up on every two-bit trashy TV show in an effort to become famous. Apparently she’s a singer or something. Anyway, here’s her falling over .. :) Read more →

I hate the recession

Those people at webuyanycar.com have just sent me a mailshot. They may have a catchy song and an advert that makes me dance a little but it all falls down after you visit their site. You enter your registration plate, you’ll get a great valuation, then when you turn up at Carcraft (that’s who they actually are), some nobby salesman… Read more →

Getting a faster site

It’s perhaps laziness and not having enough time to do it, but I’ve noticed that the main coolsmartphone.com site wasn’t as fast as it could’ve been last month. Google are now reporting site speed in their Webmaster Tools and I’m quite happy to show it here. To be honest, it was pretty rubbish with an almost 9 second load time.… Read more →
